Dining Room
Liz (a friend of mine also buying and remodeling a house) and I checked out a local antique store today and found tons of furniture that could find it's way into either of our future homes.
There is an entire mid-century modern section of the antique store that I always find myself drooling over. Of course I fell in love when Liz sent me this from their web site, where they have even more furniture available.
Here's the description:
MINT CONDITION HEYWOOD WAKEFIELD CIRCA 1957 SHAKER STYLE DINING TABLE WITH MATCHING CHAIRS. TWO ARM CHAIRS, AND FOUR SIDE CHAIRS RECOVERED IN BLACK/WHITE HOUNDSTOOTH FABRIC. TWO INSET LEAVES, AND TWO DROP LEAVES. INCREDIBLY FUNCTIONAL BOTH IN A SMALL SETTING OR LARGE FAMILY GET-TOGETHER. FULLY EXTENDED MEASUREMENT IS 83" LONG, 42" WIDE, AND 29 1/4" TALL. COMPLETELY CLOSED POSITION MEASURES 26" LONG, 42" WIDE, AND 29 1/4" TALL.

It's such a great price for Heywood Wakefield. And it's so hard to find complete dining room sets!
Just promise me you'll reupholster the chairs....
I love love love this table, and live in OKC as well. Which antique store did you purchase it from? 3 years ago, I realize, but it's worth a shot.
Hi Chelsi,
It was from www.modernfurnitureokc.com - it was definitely a rare find. BUT I recently saw some Heywood-Wakefield pieces at a little vintage store behind / connected to Mockingbird Manor off of Western. Good luck!
