J & K started this blog project to document the remodel of their 1929 historical home in the heart of Oklahoma City. It has now turned into a documentation of life, food, fashion, freelance, inspiration, design, adventures and details around the J & K house.
Kathleen works as an award-winning brand consultant and designer specializing in small business branding at Braid Creative & Consulting. Jeremy is a software engineer and is the left-brain to Kathleen’s right.

I'm so happy for you I could shed tears! From not knowing what arugula is to becoming a master chef - look at you!
Powers - Ha! I KNOW. I just told Tara the arugula story this past weekend.
Looks to be whole grain. Yay!
Megan-Joy - It's actually a mix of whole grain and just some organic unbleached flour that is finer.
I need to visit Akins - they have a much better flour selection.
i got the same mixer for christmas! i'm trying to decide if i want to keep the chrome color or trade for the darker gray... but now that i'm seeing yours i just kind of want to keep the one i have and make something!
ja-hell-ous of that mixer!
Yum! Looking forward to the recipe posts :)
I highly recommend an old fashioned stoneground whole wheat. I just switched to it this year and I love baking with it.
What's next on your baking agenda?
Megan-Joy - I will definitely stock up the next time I'm at Akins.
Well, I'm making more pizzas for my friends tomorrow but I'm thinking about trying out a banana bread or something of the sort.
Any recommendations?
I got a Kitchen Aid from mom and dad too this Christmas. Enjoy!!
-Judie
Since you've already mastered yeast doughs, I think you're ready for something more along the lines of pita or tortillas. I make both at home and the results are well worth the effort. I can give you my recipes if you want them!
Megan-Joy - I've been really interested in making tortillas! Hook me up! You can send me an email at jeremyandkathleen(at)gmail(dot)com.
Thanks!
