The Best Pizza Ever

I've been craving homemade pizza ever since we made it on our mini-vacation. I made up a big batch of dough on Sunday (the dough takes at least 24 hours to make and can last up to 3 days).

Every Wednesday night Jeremy and I make dinner for our friends and we watch Dexter (did any one see the season finale!?). This Wednesday I decided on homemade build-your-own pizzas but had to do a trial run last night. Just to make sure everything tasted alright. Because I made the dough on Sunday it ended up being a quick and easy dinner.

What I love most about this recipe is that the dough is so thin and crispy. And while it's not the healthiest meal ever, you have complete control over all of the ingredients - so nothing artificial winds up in your dough and you can at least try to use lots of veggies and not so much cheese. It's a good alternative to ordering out.

That pizza looks delicious- and we do Sunday night Dexter with our group of friends and i DID see the finale. I was in shock, couldn't sleep that night, and overall have not gotten over it- crazy! Merry Christmas!

Katbird - It was so hard to wait until Wednesday for my friends to come over to watch! I actually loved the outcome of the season finale! I can't wait until next season.

Oh it was definitely unexpected. I can't wait to see where they will take it next season after that ending. Think I may be making some pizzas today....

Not kidding - one of the best season finales I have seen in a LONG TIME.

Season finale of Dexter almost made me cry, and after that I was like WTF!
Good looking pizza;)

We both posted pizzas on the same day. :) Yours looks great. From scratch pizza is the only way to go!

OK, I think I am going to try this today- it has been on my mind since you put the post up. Can you just tell me what exactly is your o.o. and garlic sauce? Just minced garlic I guess? Thanks!

Kat - I literally just chopped up some garlic (fairly fine) and mixed in some olive oil. The first time I made it I used garlic and sauteed it in lots of butter on the stove. So you could also sautee the garlic in olive oil.

Let me know how it turns out!
