Ginger and garlic (brown) fried rice with onions. Topped with arame sea veggies and a fried egg. Jeremy's reaction: "When did you become Top Chef!?"
I've been wanting to try out this recipe over at Smitten Kitchen ever since it was posted. And I'm currently reading Alicia Silverstone's book, The Kind Diet, and was inspired by all of her Asian-influenced cooking. She talks a lot about sea veggies which I hadn't given much thought too except for when I'm eating sushi. I picked up a package at Native Roots this weekend and Jeremy actually suggested integrating them into this recipe.
The combination of deconstructed flavors was amazing. I had slightly overcooked the egg and missed out on the oozy goodness of the yolk. I'll try again with leftovers.

ah, i saw this recipe on SK too, and thought it looks like something i would love to eat!
your photos are great too :)
Where did you "pick up" those veggies? Asian market? I am making a lot of asian influenced food myself, especially Thai..
Lindsey - It was delicious and easy to make. You have to try it out.
Dishin - All of these veggies are from Native Roots market in Norman. You can also find them at the Asian supermarket, Super Cao Nguyen, off 23rd and Western in OKC.
Damn you! I didn't have time to eat breakfast this morning and these pictures are killing me.
Ashley - I packed it for leftovers too! I can't wait to eat some.
