Drool.

You must tell me where you got your local yogurt.

Do you get your local goods from the farmer's market or a CoOp?

Angela and Craftyminx - We go to the OSU-OKC Farmers Market on Saturdays but Native Roots in Norman also carries a lot of the same local food products that the farmers market has.

We joined a CSA through Berry Creek Farms and will be getting a lot of local produce this summer from them (as well as eggs). I want to see how that goes this year and consider doing the Oklahoma Food Coop next winter.

I really want to do both the CSA and Oklahoma Food Co-op, too. I had not heard of CSAs, so I looked it up. This is a nice article for the one here in OK: http://www.kerrcenter.com/community_food/CSA_takes_root.htm

Thanks for sharing ya'll's commitments and goals. I have not been to the OSU-OKC Farmers' Market as often as I should, so I will head down there this weekend and stock up!

that looks delicious!

i totally admire your goal to only buy local. i'm trying to do the same and support our local farmers market etc. go you! :)

Laura - thanks for the link! And you are welcome - it started out as a goal and has slowly become a priority. I love the OSU-OKC farmers market because everything is local - no question about it.

Nikki - Thank you! I do have to say that we don't buy ONLY local - I have to have my apples and bananas even when they're not in season or available locally. But we're really trying. I've been trying to include at least 1 local ingredient in my meals.

Oh yes! I have been eating a lot of greek yogurt (need to find something more local) with honey and granola. Delicious!
