Baking Bread


I haven't made any bread since trying out this recipe. It was tedious and hard. A blog reader recommended this book to me and I got it - but was still feeling uninspired (or scared) to try out a recipe.
Well, this weekend I cracked the spine and got to mixing, rising and baking. I made the Semolina peasant loaf and I have to say that it was easy and amazing - and it looks like a legit loaf of bread! I made some egg salad and grilled cheese sandwiches (with another attempt at homemade mayo) for my mother-in-law and GG (grandma-in-law) for Mother's Day.

That looks good! Everytime I make bread it never comes out looking like a loaf. Good job. :]
That looks delicious...and is very hard to look at since I gave up carbs today. Ugh.
Wow! Very impressive. I have tried twice to make vegan gluten-free bread. I am still refining things.
Impressive! My oven is so unreliable that I'm afraid to even try. Maybe it's worth giving it a shot, though
