Sundays are about baking, cooking, soaking and baking some more. This past Sunday I made banana bread with crystallized ginger and dark chocolate and just about died it was so good. You will have to read this book for the recipe. It's worth it.

The Emile Henry loaf pan is a birthday gift from new friend and food blogger Megan-Joy. It's perfect and a piece I will have in my kitchen forever. This banana bread was the perfect first recipe for it.

Hi Kathleen!
So funny, I also made banana bread on sunday!I made mine with dried apricots and blueberries:)

This looks amazing. I know exactly what I'm going to do with those too-ripe bananas hanging in my kitchen. Yum!

I love that book, but im sort of upset.., as I was reading this I looked down at my apple & peanut butter breakfast and felt resentment. Your breakfast locked my breakfasts ass.

Annie - I'm LOVING this book. The stories coupled with recipes are just so inspiring.

Allison - I'm going to have to start putting more things in my banana bread, clearly. Yum.

MeganRose - I actually had an apple and peanut butter for breakfast too! This banana bread was all eaten up within a matter of hours after I made it last Sunday. But I miss it. Dearly.

Wow, all I can say is wow - that looks amazing!

I'm pretty sure this is what the clouds in heaven taste like! Sounds delicious!
