I'm loving these state illustrations by Frank Chimero.

I've only lived in two states my whole life: I was born in Tyler, Texas and moved to Oklahoma when I was 6. What about you?

I love it! These would make great shirts.

The Cali one kind of cracks me up. An upside-down cig. But then also makes me cringe a bit since fire season is just around the corner and usually it is the southern part of the state that lights up just like the illustration.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, college in NYC, and then the last 10 years in California. Not very many states either - but at least I really like each of them.

I'm also a Texas/Okie! Born in North Texas, but was raised in Southern Oklahoma. Moved back to North Texas for college +years, then just last hear back to my little Oklahoma hometown.
I am truly a Texoman. And I love both of my states. :)

Born in Ohio, moved to Japan, Las Vegas, Illinois, Colorado, and now Arizona.

Born and lived in Texas for 20 years, 9 years in Idaho.

Super cute.

I've lived in three states: Born in California, also Connecticut and Virginia.

aww, not loving the CA cigarette. don't we have some of the most restrictive laws regarding public smoking? when traveling east, that's always the first thing i noticed - amount of smokers and smoking in bars. yuck.

i'm a CA girl - born & raised. i've lived all over southern CA (san diego to santa barbara) and don't plan to stray any further.

Born & raised in GA, college in IL and Germany, Grad school in NY (upstate) -- and now I'm back in GA!

Chacha and Jessica - That's funny because I totally took the California cigarette poster to be an anti-smoking statement. The cigarette is upside down and put out - to me it's one big "no smoking" sign. :)

LOVE those illustrations!! For sure they would make great t's~
Oh..California girl born and raised ...but have spent lot's of time in Asia...and plan to make that my home one day in the near future!

thats funny...our old business partner is from Tyler Texas...and his name is Dewey...how Tyler, Texas is that? I'm a CA girl...Socal to be specific...Norcal and Socal are like 2 different states pretty much...

Vermont first, then NorCal (CarleeKajsa's totally right) for the big personality-forming years, then back to Vermont for a minute before DC and Northern Virginia.

NorCal still fits best.

That totally makes sense - the "cigarette being put out". That's why these are cool - there are different ways to interpret them. Wish he had done some more states!

Thanks for sharing Kathleen. I loved the illustrations so much I profiled on my blog as well (with a link back to you)
