Trout Lake Wedding: Sarah and Brian

I met Sarah when I was 15 years old and fell head over heels in love with her spirit for adventure and that big, curly red hair of hers. We were dear friends all through highschool and we shared teenage growing pains together. I watched as she and her dad loaded up a truck and headed off to Olympia, WA where she would go to college and graduate right at 3 years. After college she spent a few years kayaking, backpacking and forest-rangering - and that is where she met Brian. They fell in love and decided to get married. (You may remember the art nouveau wedding invitations I designed for her.)
The wedding was beyond gorgeous. Her dress was reconstructed from her mom's wedding dress. The ceremony took place under a teepee structure with a stunning view of Mount Adams in the background. The reception involved a delicious, yet simple, picnic accompanied by contra dancing. And of course there was an after party and lots of beer.
I'm so grateful Jeremy and I were able to help Sarah and Brian celebrate their marriage. And what a beautiful marriage it will be.

how unique!!
Wow those pickles look SO GOOD.
I LOVE the barefoot & cowboy boots!! If I didn't have such a shoe fetish, I'd love to get married barefoot.
These photos are so good Kathleen, and your Portland part 1 ones, too.

wow. those photos are gorgeous and i love love love that idea of reconstructing your mums wedding dress, i had the same idea recently when my mum mentioned keeping hers around and how it is all sealed away. i'd like to do something like that with her when i get married!
That wedding looks LOVELY!
Very sweet.
