Window Shopping: Boot Lust

FryePaige

I haven't been shopping as much as usual these days. If I wanted to get deep about it I'd say I've filled some sort of void with love and adventure and crave a simple life. Those things are true but I still adore fashion and clothes - but I made a resolution a few years ago to buy quality over quantity.

That rule especially applies to boots - and this is an area I'm willing to splurge in. After investing in two pairs of Frye boots I'm hooked. I want boots that are made to last forever. I love me some quality boots and now that Fall is upon us I've got some serious boot lust.

What are your shopping splurges? What are you willing to spend big money on?

Boots above found via Free People - where you can spend thousands to look like a dirty hippy.

i've been eyeballing fryes for a loooong time now. I've purchased numerous inferior boots because I couldn't stomach the frye price tag, but I think it's time to make the investment and stop wasting precious boot mulah on crappy shoes.

Shoes. If I'm spending a great deal of time walking around in them then they better look good, feel good. Oh, and purses. :)

LOVE. FRYE. BOOTS. Getting married in some Frye boots tomorrow! Weeee!

Splurges: boots, wool coats, leather jackets, cashmere sweaters, good jeans, great handbags.

Jeans, and shoes. I'm a size 5 in the shoe department though so I can never seem to find stuff in the stores that is between the prices of 10$ and 200$. I love Etsy for my shoe shopping habits.
Also I only buy like one pair of jeans every couple years, so I make sure they are FANTASTIC.
But I'm sure the prices I pay many would not consider splurging.

i'm with you on the fryes. i've had veronica slouches for three years, paige something-or-others for two, and blue harness boots for two. all still look new (except the toe of the paiges - my friend's rescue duck took a nibble, no biggie).

those boots are fantastic. almost bought them in cranberry!! alas, home renos are more important...

i just ordered these for a shoot I have been putting together. http://needsupply.com/womens/shoes/zip-back-boot.html

Cole got lucky and wears the same size boot as the model, so she gets to keep these.

I really like the ones you posted here as well. They actually would have worked a little better.

I spend on jeans, though not terribly. What's weird is that I only started doing it the last few years.

I also invest in quality jewelry. Vintage diamonds are my fav.

Gorgeous boots. Shopping splurges are good bras, boots, and brogues. Have some boots and shoes that are hidden in the depths of the closet unworn - need to practice saying "What? These old things?" when my husband asks when I got them. I shouldn't be spending a dime these days...

those boots are definitely lustworthy.

my fashion splurge: Clare Vivier bags. i can't get enough of them.

i just went to the outlet mall and "splurged" $400 worth for work clothes. fml.

i tooootally have the same philosophy. i decided to stop impulse shopping years ago. most of the time, i'll make myself walk away from something and sleep on it, so that i can find out if i really really want it. and my wardrobe is so much better as a result. i don't have that many clothes, but i really love the clothes i have. i'm kind of willing to splurge on most things...which is why i can rarely afford to get anything! haha!

those boots are soooo cute. i've heard such great things about frye. it's so hard for me to find boots because of my calves! they're kinda big...

I try not to spend too much on shopping but I just did a post on fryes too. I will totally spend money on fryes (not the ones that are 450). But there are great deals on fryes at endless.com. I have 4 pairs and will have to wait until next year for my next one. My rule is one pair a year!
I really like the paige boot.

LUST - I love these!
