Anatomy of an Outfit: Meeting Time

I seem to mostly work with clients on the coasts - so if we're Skyping I can fake getting dressed. I'll just throw on a little bit of make-up and make sure I'm wearing a bra and call it a day. But lately I've had a couple real-life meetings - so in order to look professional I'll put on some pants. Or a skirt. Or at the very least some shiny leggings.

scarf - urban outfitters
tank - american apparel
skirt, belt & leggings - target
boots - frye

Umm.. my fav outfit ever! Makes me want a big, chunky scarf.. and in Detroit, i need one about now. Brrr... : )

That skirt looks so comfortable! It makes me want cold weather and a hot drink. With or without rum in it, ha.

Please tell me more about these boots because if I do not have them I may die.

Hey Kathleen, weird question: how tall are you? I'm pretty sure you're taller than me, as I'm kind of short. I'm just trying to imagine if your skirt/boot combo here would look good on my petite frame.

Love this outfit. Love that although it's business it's not a suit but still something that's you and that's creative!

Thanks you guys!

Amy - these boots are kind of my soul mates. For the life of me I can't remember what they were called though. Jeremy got them for me over 3 years ago and I haven't been able to find them since.

Vanessa - I'm about 5'9" (closer to 6' in these boots). I definitely think this outfit would work on someone more petite - you may just need to opt for a slightly shorter skirt.

shiny leggings... *shudder*
I do love this skirt though.

Love that skirt!

gorgeous!

Amy! Someone on Flickr just solved the mystery - they are Adrienne tall button boots.

Thank you thank you! I've already begun the search... but it may be beyond my level of patience. I may need that long to save op for them, anyhow!

BEST. OUTFIT. EVER.
