Anatomy of an Outfit: Limbo

The week leading up to vacation is always insane. There is so much work to pack in - along with actual packing to pack in - prior to a early (like get-to-the-airport-in-the-middle-of-the-night-early) departure. But I'm not quite going on vacation, per se. I'm in the Denver airport getting some work done while on a long layover to Alt Summit. And I feel like I'm in the eye of the storm. A peaceful sort of limbo between bookends of a full schedule. I ate a generic breakfast in a generic airport pub and bought Tina Fey's Bossypants and a thin magazine about backpacking to thumb through while on the plane. I'm having a pretty good time being all alone in such a crowded place.

I wore this outfit to a couple of really great meetings yesterday. I feel like all that grey hardly did my colorful day justice.

Cardigan & Scarf - Urban Outfitters
Skirt - Shop Good
Leggings & Belt - Target
Boots - c/o Langston's Western Wear

You have such style (and I love your chalkboard wall). that is all :)

Have a great time at Alt.

your hair looks amazing!

I love it! All of it. And yay new chalkboard wall!

I need to get my hands on "Bossypants" finally. I've put off reading it for too long.

Bossypants is good stuff. I laughed out loud a few times on a really quiet plane when I listened to it.

This outfit is cute, but I have to tell you: your hair is even more awesome in person.

those tights and boots look sooo comfortable.

let me know how you like bossypants.

I found it interesting (and enjoyable) to read Bossypants along with How to Be a Woman. Will be curious to hear what you think.

I feel like I belong at Alt next year. What qualifies one to go? I know technically the answer is ANYONE, but really, what does it take? Also, loving that scarf. When winter leaves, I will miss hot tea and fancy scarves.

Also, I am listening to Bossypants for the third time. Never gets old.

I really like that you wear a lot of greys, I wear almost exclusively more black white greys with the occasional color slipped in, but I like getting new ideas to play with texture. Also you can already tell a difference in the way you've been working out.

I wore five shades of grey yesterday. I felt like it left more room for the colors of the day to shine. :)
