Jeremy and I recently closed on another rental property here in Oklahoma City. Before I list it elsewhere I thought I would offer it to my J&K readers first!

This cute little 1930s abode is nestled between historical Linwood, Crestwood and Miller historical neighborhoods. It is biking distance to OCU and the Plaza District.

• 2918 NW 17th Street, OKC
• 1200 sq. ft.
• Wood floors / tile
• 2 bed / 1 bath
• Central Heat & Air
• Large bathroom with whirlpool tub and shower
• Gorgeous backyard & deck
• Separate studio (though it needs a little work)
• Lots of storage & a walk-in closet
• Fireplace & wet bar
• W/D hookups
• Lawn maintenance included
• Gas / Electric / Cable / Water & Garbage not included in rent
• Well behaved pets okay with pet deposit
• But no smoking allowed
• Plus, we're awesome landlords

The place will be available by April 1. You can see more photos here.

We're listing at $850/month. Please email or call Vicki at vshannon50@cox.net or (405) 659-9809 for more details or to arrange to see the space in person.

P.S. We'll have another super cute property available on May 1 as well.

P.P.S. I have to give a shout-out to our awesome Realtor Simon Shingleton. You may recognize his fabulous wife Rachel from Pencil Shavings.

Would it be possible for you to tell me what the rent for the property opening up on May 1st is?

Heather - It will also be renting for $850 (with lawn maintenance included). This is the house that we'll be renting in May: http://jeremyandkathleen.blogspot.com/2011/03/on-becoming-landlords.html

DANG. I need a tub like that. I'll rent it from you for a few hours each weekend, does that work?

I never would've thought these words would be coming out of my mouth, but I kind of wish we were relocating to OKC! What an adorable little house!

I never thought I'd say this, but I kind of wish we were relocating to OKC! What a cute house (and for such an amazing price compare to Southern California rent).

Um, wow. Would it be possible for this house to be relocated to Edinburgh, Scotland, please? Because gardens and whirlpool baths don't tend to come as standard in that price bracket over here. Awesome landlords are also, sadly, hard to come by. I'm jealous of whoever gets to live here!

So adorable and less than my 1 bedroom in Austin!

Only $850 a month?! geez.. I wish prices were like that for a small nice place downtown in Orlando...

You guys - this is why OKC is awesome. The cost of living is dirt cheap!

This makes me want to move to Oklahoma...this place is amazing!! And less than what we are paying here

Between this post and yesterday's NYT article, man do I want to move somewhere inexpensive, go into real estate, learn to be handy, make a difference and DO SOMETHING. In the meantime, I'm going to go make some lunch and envy you.

Its so crazy to me that you guys manage all those properties. I can't even wrap my mind around owning 1 house! :)

That backyard is so dreamy!

I gasped and well up a bit when I saw these images. It's amazing! What a great property. I wish I lived in OK. If only I could find a dream home like this in my budget here in Alabama. Let me know if you guys plan on expanding and taking over the South, OK? ;)

Have you rented this property out yet? My husband and I are relocating to Oklahoma City next week!

Vicki - we have! I'm so sorry!
