It was quite a process but well worth it. We still need to do the touch ups but overall everything came out much cleaner than I had anticipated. We also need to hang our new light fixture, paint the french doors to my closet black, and possibly install some recessed lighting on both ends of the hall to get a little more light in there.
Paint used:
Sherwin Williams Creme in a flat finish
Sherwin Williams Black Magic in a flat finish
Sherwin Williams Extra White for the trim
Wowza! Two awesome reveals in one day. The stripes look FANTASTIC!! What are you going to put in the niche?
ReplyDeleteI know, right!?
ReplyDeleteI ALMOST chickened out on the stripes. The hallway looked so glowy and beautiful in just the creme. I'm glad we did the stripes though. The rest of our house is so neutral that this really gives it a little accent of attitude.
The niche previously housed my sunglasses collection because that's where I happened to throw them when I took them off - but now I feel like I need to find something a little more special, yet still functional. Any ideas?
OMG!

Thanks, Rachel! I was waiting for your comment. ;)
ReplyDeleteI will say - Sophomore year of Viscomm fully prepared me for this one.
LOL, it's so funny, my mom said the same thing to me when I painted our bathroom stripes!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it. you guys did an amazing job.
ReplyDeleteyou should put a virgin mary statue in that niche. that's what they're for, yeah?
ReplyDeletei'm really glad you had the balls to go with the stripes. they look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bobbi! I really love them. We just got our new light hung and it looks really good in there with the stripes. I'll post pics later.
