A creative Christmas tree.

My sister, a creative director, and her husband, an art director, go ALL out for Christmas. In fact, she thought my beautiful tree was kind of "eh"...

But compared to her tree I (and you) can see why! Look at it!

They have the coolest ornaments.

They even have a cute advent calender. My nephew opens a new door to find a chocolate coin every morning. And every night he reopens every door previously explored but dutifully waits to open a new one until the next morning.

She snagged this cute snowman cookie jar at Target.

My sister snagged some cute retro decorations from our mom and dad. This is her nook area that was recently converted from a breakfast nook to an office.

Some day I will give you an entire tour of her really cute house. In fact, while Jeremy and I were still house hunting my sister and her family were thinking about upgrading and we were seriously considering buying her house. She decided she loved her 1,200 sq. ft. (2 bed, 1 bath) home too much and has fully embraced the "small space, big style" philosophy.

  1. I searched for that retro plastic Lifesaver candy Christmas tree garland forever, and found it at a vintage store about four years ago. But I think it's in vogue again, because I've seen some reproductions lately.

  2. judging by the little corner of the fireplace, wood floors, and gorgeous white woodwork I can see, I can already tell I'm obsessed with her house. sometimes I think I would downgrade to a smaller house just to get one of the beautiful craftsman style houses I drool over. and I see your cute short hair peeking out in that mirror ;) you should post hair pictures.
