For reference, here is what our master bedroom looked like before we rearranged.
And here it is now.
The bed is flip-flopped to mirror the position it used to be in.
The positioning of everything else in the room (as well as styling) is still a work in progress. But this gives you an idea of the current layout.
Since the room has been rearranged I have slept better than I have in weeks. It's also fun to feel like I'm in a whole new space – like moving but better.
*Sorry if these images are slow-loading. My flickr is acting up today.
Looks great! (Although it looked great before too.) Almost like a totally different room.
ReplyDeleteI like it better. And I like how you kept the faux bear rug in the bedroom instead of putting it back in the living room. I always felt funny walking on it. It's better for bare feet.

Mrs. L. - Thank you! I'm still figuring a few things out, like the little seating area and decorations but otherwise I'm really excited about the change.
ReplyDeleteTara - Thanks! The rug (which is actually real sheep skin - don't tell PETA) is definitely a little more cozy and appropriate in the bedroom.
Oh yes, I understand hubby! Let me tell you our saying in German: one who sleeps w/his feet facing ANY door, will be carried out of his house this way = death. So I am glad you guys changed things around. Happy resting! Cheers, Julie
ReplyDeleteOh my, Julie! I actually think I've heard that phrase before. Good thing we flipped our bed around!
ReplyDeleteI like the changes. The feng shui of the room feels much better.
ReplyDeleteit looks so comfy!

LOOKS GREAT!
ReplyDeleteGood idea! it's bad feng shui to have your bed facing the door anyway!
ReplyDeleteThanks you guys! I'm still trying to figure it all out and get everything just right but that's part of the fun, right?
ReplyDeleteOK, now my master bedroom needs work! Busy?
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous bedroom. I thought these only existed in magazines!
ReplyDeleteKelly - Send me pictures and I'll whip up a moodboard with advice for you! F'reals!
ReplyDeleteK - You are too kind! It still needs a little bit of work...
