In retrospect I'm wishing we had been able to track down some wood frames or used a variety of frames but we were able to get a couple of boxes of various sizes for dirt cheap. The frames are lacking in quality, causing them to hang a little crooked, but I think it adds to the quaintness of the whole thing.
I have a feeling this wall won't stay like this forever and I will get around to reframing and recomposing but for now I think it's fun.
Looks great! What is the name of the green paint color...thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's Sherwin Williams Shagreen in matte finish.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and execution. I actually love that the frames are all of the same material and color. It's very eye catching, I wouldn't be able to keep myself from walking up and studying the photos.
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was starting to feel a little matchy-matchy. And that's the exact reaction I want. I want the photos to tell stories about our lives and not be just portraits or just art.
Where did you get those frames?! I LOVE this idea!
ReplyDeleteYolanda - I'm pretty sure I picked up a super cheap pack of frames at Target. They don't have to be fancy!
