6 Months of Raw Denim

It's OVER! Me and 60+ other brave souls donned the same pair of raw denim every day for six months without washing. (For more explanation, check out some of my previous posts on the Clean Start Project).

At our last photoshoot we handed off our jeans to be washed (finally! this is where the true character will start to reveal itself) and then displayed in a finale celebration that will be happening tonight in OKC at Live on the Plaza.

This was such a fun project to be a part of. What did I learn wearing the same pair of jeans for 6 months? That I really don't need much more than that.

Check out everyone else's 6 month photos here and if you're in OKC join us tonight (Friday, April 12th) for the Clean Start finale!

  1. AWESOME! You better take pics of what the look like after they're washed and at the finale!

  2. Those are some great jeans too - they literally look just as great in the last shots as they do in the first shots.

I have come to realize that I only sway between 2 pairs of jeans at a time. I've been wearing the same skinnys every day of the week and only switching to some looser boot cut ones when I feel bloated, or want to be super comfortable. LESS IS MORE (when it comes to washing too). I wear my jeans all week, then wash them to start over. Thanks so much for sharing this I can't wait to see the big reveal!

  3. I'm truly impressed how nice they're still hugging your butt after 6 months. I'm about ready for a new pair and I think it's time for an upgrade!

  4. Congrats on making it 6 months! You've taught me that I don't need to wash mine that often (now that I'm gravitating toward better quality, non-stretchy jeans). I can't wait to see how they turn out!

  5. and what did you wear on the day after the finale? or did you reach for your jeans and pull them on without any hesitation? curious if there is a void left in your wardrobe now, or if there is a sigh of relief attached to this post?
