I'm Here

It was a bit of a rude awakening transitioning from Tulum back home to Oklahoma. Starting with the Cancun airport which included characters akin to what you'd find on that website poking fun of the kinds of people you find at Wal-Mart. Loud families carrying "CANCUN" totes were criticizing the Bubba Gump shrimp they were chowing down on. A peeping tom was video taping women in the bathroom washing their hands (to which I yelled "NO, NO, NO!" and was greeted back with a toothless and deranged smile). I quickly forgot about the peeping tom – distracted by a woman in a stall next to me puking up one too many last-chance-airport-after-party-margaritas. On my flight home I wrapped myself in my Blockshop scarf around and silently chanted a mantra or two to comfort myself.

Since returning home (to some freakish freezing cold Spring weather) it's been go go go. Client deadlines, brand presentations, creative coaching, workshopping, writing, designing, Martha Beck training, and getting it all done-ing.

I'm ready to go back to the beach.

  1. There is a tint of "Barbie" to your skin.

    That is all. x

  3. The tan and the Kathleen, she looks good :D

Reality is reality, but your reality last week was pretty damn awesome. This week's reality just happens to have more deadlines added in with the awesome. Either way, you rock the awesome :D

    Also, you're a magician (= more awesome)

  4. Let's all go. Life is hard without the beach.

  5. Nicole - ha! A tint of Barbie! Love it.

    Angela - XO

Natasha - Yes. Exactly. I love that vacation can be just as much reality as our everyday lives.

Francine – I do wonder if life would be more fun with a beach available 24/7. Or if you would get used to it?

  9. Look how glowy you are!

I can't help but be jealous of your Mexican adventure, but I've got my own Costa Rican adventure coming up soon.

And where did you find that amazing jacket? Vintage?

  10. So much love to all of you!

The jacket is vintage – I don't even think it has a label...
