Piers

Sorry for the boring photo. It fairly represents the boring, yet expensive, renovation happening to our home today.

We've seen new cracks develop before our eyes. Our home inspector advised we have four piers installed under our house when he checked the place out back in June. From what I understand our home is shifting a little bit and piers don't "jack anything back up" but instead hold our home in place as it is and keeps it from shifting any more.

Our next boring, yet necessary, renovation project will be attic insulation. Stay tuned.
