I have been so sleepy all day. It could be the time change. It could be not being appropriately dosed with coffee within the first 20 minutes of waking up.
To make matters worse, I came across this post on my blog roll about dreamy bedrooms.
I've been fantasizing all afternoon about napping under my goose-down comforter with the windows open.
And I've been thinking about canopy beds.
I've always been proud of designing my living space somewhat gender neutral. Do you think canopy beds are too girly?
Not at ALL. Michael really loves canopy beds and we want to get the posters that go with our bed so we can drape fabric around them and fashion our own canopy. They just feel so...nesty. I love them.
ReplyDeleteAura - I was actually going to reference your canopy bed too after seeing it in your post the other day. Nest is exactly the right word.
ReplyDeleteDepends - who is hanging from it? ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't think they are too girly. I do think that the ceiling in your bedroom might be too low making it feel too cramped and dwarf the space. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteHm - we do have tall ceilings (9 ft.) so I think it would look about like it does in those photos - and we do have 6 windows in the master bedroom so that would help with it feeling cramped. Not to mention the floorspace is HUGE in that room.
ReplyDeleteI think I was picturing the ceiling in my room as being the same height as the ceiling in your room. I had no idea they were 9ft. tall.
ReplyDeleteGood point on the windows too, that will help.
