Wedding Flowers

The best part about staying at a wedding until the very end is seeing off the bride and groom. The second best part is being able to snag a center piece.

With my new commitment to keep fresh flowers in our home I was quick to snag one of these centerpieces when being offered up at the end of the evening.

When I got the flowers home I busted the arrangement apart into separate vases, which are jars I got at Michael's Hobby Store for less than $2 each! The full arrangement was just a little too fancy for our home.

I love the little green poofs. Does anybody know what those are called?

So we got a house full of flowers out of one arrangement! Thanks Amanda and Andy!

  1. Love it. I have some of those jars too at my house.
They look really cool if you spraypaint them metallic colors. :) I have some silver and gold ones.

Anyway, love the idea. I wish i could keep up with fresh ones.. but alas. Fakes are just gonna have to do for now. haha.

  2. Always check with someone before you take the centerpieces. It is becoming more common for couples to rent vases.

Recently, I had a couple have to shell out an additional hundred dollars because some of the guests took the centerpieces without asking.

  3. Thanks for the tip Misse - I actually only took the centerpiece after it was offered to me by a wedding coordinator. :)
