I've been itching to get out of town for a while now but as of early Thursday morning I didn't want to be anywhere but home.
Half the way home - outside of Amarillo, TX.
While neither of us wanted to cut our honeymoon short we had to follow our gut. I drove us 9 hours back to Oklahoma City (going 90mph the entire way) and we went straight to the emergency room.
Jeremy was diagnosed with appendicitis. He's having it removed in just a couple hours.
We'll have the rest of our lives for honeymoons - right now I'm more concerned with being his wife.
oh no! im glad you guys followed your instincts!
ReplyDeletebest wishes for a speedy recovery for him.
HOLY CRAP.
ReplyDeleteIts like that episode of Diff'rent Strokes where Arnold has a tummy ache and wont tell anyone. Except Jeremy saw that episode and learned that he had to tell!
I wonder how many people that episode saved.
I know! I'm glad we didn't come home early because Jeremy had to fart. Haha!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh how scary! I am so glad he's getting it taken care of without any complications. As always, let me know if there is anything I can do!
ReplyDeleteUGH! That sucks so bad! I am SO sorry! I know from experience that there is NOTHING worse than being sick and being away from home. hugs to you both - I hope he feels better so soon.
ReplyDeletewow. and i love your last line. so sweet.
ReplyDeleteRachel - I thought of your UC flare up in France when all of this was going down. I can't even imagine. Thanks for the well wishes! He's already doing better.
ReplyDeleteOh no, wishing Jeremy a speedy recovery! And I agree with Joanna... love that last line in your post.
ReplyDeleteAhh, yes, the infamous UC flare in France. Deeelightful. I'm so so glad that this was a (relatively) easy fix for him and that he'll have a speedy recovery!
