A couple months after Jeremy proposed we went dress shopping with my mom and sister. We were actually trying to find something for the ADDYS but then I found the one.
It's BCBG and was something like 70% off the original price which is always nice. The design of it reminded me of something that would be on Project Runway (in a good way, of course.) The cut and color were perfect. Thank you to my mom for buying it for me.
I know the dress is usually kept a secret from the groom but I liked that Jeremy was there to help me pick it out - and zip it up. It kind of sums up what we're all about.
Another huge part of my outfit was the fascinator. It was custom made by an Etsy seller - Brenda's Bridal Veils. It was actually my first time to purchase anything from Etsy and it was the perfect experience. Brenda was able to create exactly what I wanted.
And one final note on the dress. One day as I was perusing the images on one of my favorite design blogs, Desire to Inspire, I came across this image. At first I was just looking at every detail and figuring out why this room is so perfect and then I spied it!
My dress is hanging on the wardrobe! But in grey!
first entry is up!! i think i have it on lockdown. it should be. any idea how i can add you?!
ReplyDeletewell done on the dress. it is gorgeous!! a friend of a friend had a backyard wedding and that dress.
my husband also saw my dress long before the wedding. mine was an online purchase (vera wang from bluefly for cheap) and i tried it on for him as soon as the delivery guy left. i'm pretty sure our marriage isn't ruined because of it.

ReplyDelete@ Aura - Thank you! I loved that it pretty much blends in with my skin tone so I look naked. Naked with texture. Haha.
ReplyDelete@MC&H - Thanks, you! I wish you could've made it!
i am getting married in three weeks and i decided to keep the dres a secret. but it is so hard, because normally i love going shopping with him and I can't wait till he sees the dress. that's why we went shopping for everything else (shoes, underwear, his outfit...) together.
ReplyDeleteFenke - I think it is totally sweet to keep the dress a secret! I bet he'll be so excited to finally see it.
