I designed this report for OU College of Nursing. They like to use a lamp theme playing off of Florence Nightingale. They had this vintage lamp they wanted to use and I said "can we do the whole report vintage?"
They said yes and made all of their archives full of old equipment and photos available to me.
Me and my photographer spent an entire day in the library shooting photos of everything from old bed pans to syringes.
I was able to print this report in 4-color process plus a hit of metallic ink.
This is one of my favorite spreads featuring nursing uniforms over the decades.
And I have a special place in my heart for financials. I LOVE designing charts and graphs.

ReplyDeletethis is so great, i'm going to scream!!! i have my grandmother's nursing school diploma..., she was born in 1900, so it's just a few years old.

oh gosh. I really love how enthusiastic you are about your work! I'm in school for Graphic Design and it's cool to see this whole network of bloggers that freak out about typefaces and color schemes as much my friends and I do ;)
