Get Shit Done

KathleenBraidMegBiramEdit

Today I'm sharing how I Get Shit Done (GSD) with Meg Biram over at her newly rebranded and launched blog The Edit.

I first met Meg by chance at a dinner get together at Alt Summit a couple years ago. Then I got to hang out with her again at Mighty Summit and let me tell you - Meg is a force to be reckoned with. She's insanely smart and talented and is working hard to create the kind of curiously creative and cultivated life she wants to live. So I was thrilled to be invited to share with her readers how I stay organized and productive. Go take a look and share with me how you Get Shit Done.

  1. I really enjoyed reading your GSD tips on Meg's blog! I currently do shift work and work late afternoons into late nights, so I find that I have a huge motivation problem 1) getting up at a reasonable time in the morning, and 2) actually doing anything productive or taking "me time" before work... I need to work on this to feel healthier and happier in my current job situation (which is not at all ideal and feeds into the lack of motivation in other areas of life). On a sort of but not entirely unrelated note... I would love if you did a sort of "friends matter" post. I'm in my late 20s, and it often feels impossible to make the kind of friends that seemed so easy to make in childhood . Of course, everyone has increased responsibilities and obligations in adulthood, but even meeting someone and going from acquaintance into the realm of true friendship seems so daunting! How do you make real friends and maintain those relationships? Also, and sorry for the long post, but are you familiar with the Myers Briggs personality type indicator? If not, I think that you should check it out... As someone who seems to be always looking for greater understanding of herself and others, I think you'd find it very interesting!

  3. Kim - I totally understand your struggle and you are not alone. It's very much a chicken/egg situation in being happy at work and life.

I would love to do a "friends" matters post. I feel like my friendships are something I really don't touch on often here but I would love to explore and share what my friendships – old and new – mean to me and how I make it work and balance it with my work and life.

    XO

Po-Pam - Meg is fantastic and I'm so excited about her blog re-launch.
