Liz has finished painting the trim in her place and I wanted to capture all the "before" shots before she makes any more progress.
The living room:
Here you can see a swatch of the medium-grey she is painting the walls.
The office / guest bedroom:
The bathroom:
This room will go under some major transformation including (but not limited to) ripping out that sink over the tub set up.
The master bedroom:
The dining room:
The kitchen:
The kitchen will also undergo some major remodeling.
So there you have it! The place is oozing with potential and the most dramatic, initial, transformation will be with wall color. Liz is limiting her palette to three colors - white (trim), light pale grey (just enough contrast to the trim), and a medium grey for a little drama.
definitely a ton of potential there! how exciting. i seriously need a house.
ReplyDeleteI am seriously in love with this house. Lately I've been looking at houses for sale in Oklahoma City because I'm tired of ugly Norman houses, they're no fun and all look the same. Our neighbor just bought an old house on 20th street that's almost 3,000 square feet. I was so jealous. I'd never want a house that big, but I would want a house that's almost 100 years old.
ReplyDeleteAura - the commute is so not worth it. In Norman, to find a cute house with character (that's affordable and not right on campus) you'd probably have to settle for a cool mid-century style place. I bet your old neighbor is in Heritage Hills. They have the best mansions - I think it would be fun to buy one for dirt cheap and restore it.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly the color pallet I want, so I can't wait to see how it turns out! It looks great so far
